Hey Everyone, we hope you all had a great week. KC and I had a very average week but an above average weekend. KC only had classes til wednesday and now he gets to study for finals this coming week. He has 3 finals to take in the next 3 days. Good Luck, huh. Friday night KC's work took us to dinner again. We went to Otavios Ristorante Italiana. It was fun, we were all packed in to a room separate from everyone else but there were so many of us that we didnt have much space. We ate so many appetizers and bread that by the time the salads came we were full. Both of us got our main course and took a bite and that was the most we could do. We have to box it up and take it home. Even at home the next day the food was delicious. We had a lot of fun getting to know some more of the people KC works with.
Saturday my work gave KC and I tickets to the Utah Flash. They are a developmental basketball league. Some of the players on the teams are recruits for the Jazz or Lakers but instead of sitting the bench they get put in this league to get some play time and practice. It was fun to watch. It was Utah flash vs. LA D-fenders. The D-fenders were tons better than the Flash were, it was 25-50ish at half time. Sad day. But the company I work for is like a sponsor for the Flash so they have a suite so we got to sit up there with some other people i work with. It was something different to do in Provo so that was fun. Also last night my sister had a date where she got to dress up really nice for it. We went over to her apartment after the basketball game to see her before she left. Once you're out of high school there aren't very many opportunities to dress up for dances and such so this was fun for her. I'm glad I was up here to help her get ready and be there with her.
Our lesson today for our sunday school class was on God's love for us. I taught it and KC gave some great insight as well. It was the perfect lesson for this time of year, to help us all remember that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are the ultimate exapmle of Love to us. They gave us everything and constantly give us blessings that we take for granted. I reminded my class to slow down and think of all the blessings they get each day and to try and think of ways they can show gratitude and love back to our father in heaven.
Well as it gets closer to Christmas remember the reason we have this season and holiday. Remember to show gratitude for all that you have and share your blessing with all you can. Have an excellent week. Love, the Cowles
ps. it snowed all weekend again. Snow makes everything so pretty and sparkley.
