Owen turned 2 last week and he is just growing up so much. I really cant believe it. New words everyday, new games, big boy activities, he's pretty much a whole new person. We took him to dinner at Tucanos Brazilian Grill. Not really his style but it was delicious for the adults. My mom flew in town to be here for Owen and we had my Alyssa and Tyler there as well. Also at dinner we had Megan and Ashlyn Biggs each with dates and our friends Jeff and Cara Paxman with their little baby Luke. I was so happy at how it turned out. Dinner was perfect and of course I had Cocoa Bean cupcakes for dessert. I tried the mini size this time and it was perfect. Just the right size to pop in your mouth and not feel like you have to eat a huge cupcake. Here are some "Owen as a 2 yr old" pics

Also, I took Owen's pacifier away from him on Saturday. Well I didn't take it away cold turkey but that's pretty much what happened. I cut the end so that it wouldn't give him any resistance when he would suck on it and right away he knew something was wrong. He kept saying "uh oh" and handing it to me. But I would say it was fine and give it back. Saturday was an emotional day for him. He hardly napped and KC had to cuddle him to sleep that night. But he did sleep the whole night with out it. By then I was feeling like a horrible awful mother but fortunately on Sunday night he went right to sleep with out it. He asked KC for it as he was leaving the room but KC didn't acknowledge the request. And today he did the same thing at nap time. He was really sad for a minute and was crying for "passy" but I just started reading him books and he got on with life. He went to sleep just fine. So I don't feel like an awful mother anymore, just a little mean for taking it away :)
