4 Generations (Nana, Mom, Me, and Jack)

With the Grandparents

Owen and Hollie and Ethan

So KC came home from AZ the next day but I was lucky enough to be able to stay for the week. I had lunch with my friend Emily who used to work with me up here in UT but has since moved. We've tried to get together each time I'm in AZ or she is up here but it has never worked so this time I made sure we met up.

So quickly, let me just tell you about our drive back to UT last week. It started close to on time, 1:30pm, and we were driving to Kanab, UT to stay the night. We left the house and stopped to get gas, and as soon as we were back on the road we got a call from my dad that we had forgotten some important things at home. We pulled over for him to meet us and bring these items. Right as he found us Jack decided he was hungry. It was technically time for him to eat anyways but we wanted to get on the road. So I got a bottle out and started feeding him. 30 min later we finally can leave Mesa. So we're driving along and about 45 miles south of Flagstaff Owen is looking pretty pale and saying he's sick. We quickly found a rest stop and pulled over. He was fine but I'm sure getting out and walking made him feel better. Back on the road again we're stopped next to a sign that says road construction for 12 miles. We were thinking that it was just one lane traffic and they were switching sides back and forth to get cars through. We sat there for about 45 min when it was time to feed Jack again. We were just sitting on the road so we got him out and feed him and we were still sitting there. Turns out that word on the street was a big accident was blocking the road and wasn't planning on re-opening until 9pm. Well there's only one road to flagstaff, really, and we were on it. Bummer. But we found out that if we got back to Sedona we could indirectly get back to Flag. So we turned around, following some other cars, and drove the wrong way on the freeway for a ways, got to Sedona, got food, and started driving again. The route through Sedona was beautiful, through red rock mountains and trees and it smelled amazing. But it was winding and made some of us sick. We didn't stop in Flagstaff since it had taken us 5 hours to get there and we just wanted to be done with Flagstaff. We barely get past the city when Jack is starving again. We held him off til Cameron but had to stop again (and by then he was just screaming). We finally made it to Kanab about 10 hours after we left home. It was the longest trip ever :) but we all had fun and were good for the trip.
My mom and Jeffrey spent the next week here in UT with us. Here are some pics from the week:

So I know that was picture overload but it has been a fabulously fun 3 weeks with my family. I miss them already! Love you guys!
