Ok so our little baby is going to be a BOY!!! We're so excited! We're already trying to decide what sports he'll be good at :) And of course KC cant wait for a little buddy to do stuff with. Its going to be great.
Well we've been busy for the last few weekends. 3 weekends ago we were in AZ for my sisters wedding reception. That was a fun weekend. Let me tell you how about the whole day. It started with my dad taking KC and Tyler with him at 6am somewhere. None of us knew where we just knew it was early. So they get back each driving a different car. Tyler was driving a brand new yellow and black Corvette ZHZ that was rented from Hertz and KC was driving an Audi Q7 also rented from Hertz. These were the cars that we got to drive for the day.
Next was the Luncheon. The luncheon took place at the Phoenician. It was gorgeous there. We started with punch and crackers and cheese that people could snack on while everyone was arriving. Then we went in to the eating area and everyone sat. There was a 'head table' thing so Alyssa and Tyler were there with her bridesmaids and Tylers brother and KC. So Tyler's brother and I had to each speak. I told a few stories about Alyssa growing up and Tyler's brother did the same about Tyler. Then both of the fathers spoke as well. It was really nice to hear from everyone. The food, on top of that, was amazing. It was delicious!!
Anyways, so we drove home and sitting on out lawn were 3 really cool cars. One was a black Camero, an Orange Charger (one of the original styles) and the a new black Mercedes (i'm not sure what one but it was a really neat one). Then a Yellow Labourgini Murgielago comes up and parks on our grass. It was pretty awesome. That was the neatest car i've seen. So you might be thinking, why the cars? Well Alyssa and Tyler met because of a Car and Driver magazine so my dad wanted to bring Car and Driver to them. Needless to say, that was a fun weekend.
Then the following weekend we were in CA for KC's cousin's homecoming talk. His cousing Jason just got home from the Geneva Switzerland mission. So we were out there and Kerri and Ryan were out there also. It was great because they got to see some old friends of theirs and we spent the day with them.
And finally last weekend we were in AZ last weekend again. My sis in law, kerri, was so nice to throw me a baby shower that turned out perfectly. It was grat because I was able to see all my friends who i normally dont get to see when i'm in town. So we had a good group show up and everyone was so kind in the gifts they gave. Thanks again to all you you showed up! We were also in AZ for the sealing of Kerri and Ryan's sone Ethan to them. That was special because i got to be in the nursery with Hollie and Ethan while we waited to go in to the room for them to be sealed. It was special for me.
Well that's the update on us right now. We're just trucking along and kind of looking forward to our not so busy schedule. We have my dad coming up this weekend with Jeffrey for conference so we're excited to see them. KC's just enjoying school and finding that he needs to study harder for these upcoming test he has, and i'm just working still. Thats the Cowles right now. We love you all and miss you lots!!!
