Christmas Break!!

Ok so now that everything is over I can finally find time to write about our Christmas break. It was so fun. We had both our families up here. My family stayed at a cabin in Heber, it was such a nice place for them to stay and we all got to stay up there a few nights also. KC's sister and her family stayed with us along with his dad.

So it started Fri 19th night when we picked up KC's dad and Janene from the airport. The weather was awful that night so the flights were delayed, then the airport was closed, then it reopened and the flight finally got in. So we were up pretty late. But nothing too bad. The next day was when everyone else drove in. My fam and Kerri and Ryan got here all about the same time to it was fun. We all met at our place and got to see everyone. My fam went up to Heber and we just chilled here at home. We were all so tired.

Sunday night we went to the temple lights in SLC but I didn't get any pictures of that. Monday everyone went snowboarding. Obviously I didn't go, that would probably have been a mess if I did. So Kerri and I with the kids and Kevin stayed home. Kevin was feeling really sick so Kerri and I went up to the cabin with my fam and left Kevin to have some peaceful time at home to get better. The drive up to the cabin was crazy scary. The roads were really bad so we drove like 20-30mph the whole way there. It took us like 2 hours to get there :) So we stayed the night with my family up there, it was really fun, to be in this cabin with the snow coming down like crazy and we didn't have to go anywhere. It was awesome. Monday night we also went on a sleigh ride with real Clydesdale horses pulling it.

We went home on Tuesday and back up to the cabin on Wednesday. On wed, everyone went tubing at Soldiers Hollow. It was so much fun for everyone. I video taped a little bit of it and the got some pics (below) of everyone after they were done. We had an awesome roast dinner for Christmas Eve and then read Luke 2 and sang Christmas songs. Kevin played the guitar for us to sing along to. Then we just sang random Christmas songs and had fun sitting around together. It was so neat to spend Christmas Eve with my family and with KC's family. We were very lucky to have everyone there.

Christmas day was awesome. It was nice and small even though we had so many people there. KC gave me a sewing machine (yes i have used it already) and I gave KC a trip to New York ( for his Christmas, birthday, anniversary, and every other gift for next year) for his Graduation gift. I was so excited to give it to him and he received it with much excitement. That was the best part. After that we all went to this really nice restaurant for breakfast. It was a buffet style place and they had really good food, breakfast to lunch food and dessert. You had a choice of pretty much anything you wanted.

My family went home the next day (sad day) but we still had Kerri and Ryan and Kevin up here. So we said good bye to my family and then those of us still left here went to the Harley Davidson place in Lindon. Its this big place you see of the freeway that none of us have been do and being that Kevin is a huge Harley fan so he really enjoyed the visit.

Kevin went home on Sat. The next week I went back to work and KC hung out with everyone here. KC and Ryan went skiing another time and Kerri went shopping. For New Years eve we went over to KC's Aunt Kim's and then barely stayed awake to see the new year roll around. Then New Years Day we were all doing projects. KC and Ryan repainted our coffee table and end tables. They're black now. It looks like we got new furniture, its awesome. Kerri and I set up the babies room. We put clothes in the dresser, we set up the stroller, set up the bouncer, and anything else we could set up. We would have done the swing but by that time KC and Ryan needed something to do so we let them put it together. And Ryan taught KC how to convert our battery operated swing into something we can plug into the wall (we can still use batteries also) but this way we're not having to replace the batteries all the time.

Overall it was so great to have everyone in town. We loved the company. We feel very blessed to have families that we enjoy being around and who like spending time with us as well. It was a great holiday break.

With that, KC and I are getting ready for our little baby to join us. He's due in 2 weeks and the DR says everything looks on track. We're getting really excited and anxious. Well have a great week. We love you all and hope you're Christmas's were just as great as ours!!
