KC, Brookie, Owen, and Jack: Oh what do you do in the summer time...

July went by so quickly that I never had time to stop and blog. So get ready for picture overload, seriously, there are about a billion and one picture below. We went on 3 different vacations. 1st to Boulder, CO to visit some friends, 2nd to Brian Head for a Cowles Family Reunion, and 3rd to Mesa, AZ to visit my family. I think my boys are still adjusting from the go go go July we had :)

To start, Owen got a bike finally!! He was so excited! KC took him out riding for a little and Owen just loved it. He was so comfortable on it that he even tried riding down our driveway the next day... and ended up face down in the weeds. But that didn't stop him, he we started again and wasn't paying attention and fell sideways off the sidewalk... into the weeds again. And still no stopping him. On our way home from this adventurous walk we tried riding back up the driveway and forgot how to break and ended up backwards...in the weeds again. That stopped him. He was so afraid to get back on the bike and then he was afraid of the weeds when he did get back on. We're easing back into it now :)

Jack would ride the Lightning McQueen while Owen rode his bike. He didn't quite know how to do it himself but that has never stopped him from trying

Also We did swim lessons for the boys. I did mommy and me class with Jack and Owen did his own class. It was so much fun.

Ok, Vacation #1: A very very fast trip out to Boulder CO. We left friday morning and drove home sunday. But we got to visit our friends the Ondatje's and visit KC's aunt Nancy.

We stopped in Frisco for a bathroom break and KC remembered it so much better than I did. But we saw the lake that we rode bikes around and it was still green and lovely there. I'd love to go back.

We went on a walk around the Ondatje's neighborhood and this is the gist of the walk, Owen tried to climb a tree so I helped him in for pictures, Jack ate his feet the whole time, and KC and I just enjoyed the time together.

Later that day we went for a hike to a near by water fall and then went to a splash pad for Owen to run around.

I can't remember why Owen was sad in these pics but it was something like he couldn't hold the camera.

Jack was overheating (usually Owen's problem) so we stuck his feet in the water, he loved it.

Before Vacation #2 let me throw in a few birthday (aka 4th of July) Pics. We went to see the hot air balloons in the morning and then Stadium of Fire that night.

The next day there was a beautiful full double rainbow.

We went to Airtime sports gym and lets the kids (and Ryan) play

Owen was scared at first to jump off the trampoline but by the end of the session he was all over the place

Vacation #2: Brian Head
So the Cowles planned the first family reunion in 23 years or so. So it was a big deal to be there. And it's the Cowles so you know it'll be fun. We stayed in a lodge for just our reunion and it had some activities for us there such as horse back riding, zip lining, ping pong,... etc and then Kevin set up frisbee golf around the grounds and that was a hit for Owen. He loved it.

The Kevin Cowles family was in charge of the Christmas in July night. And Yes, KC totally surprised me with his outfit (beanie, ugly sweater vest, swim trunks, and flip flops)

Owen tried the rock wall but ended up climbing the ladder.

He did awesome on the zip line. I thought for sure he would be crying after this but he was smiling and even went again.

I climbed the wall too but of course there are no pictures :)

We wore Jack out so much that he was asleep before I left the room this night.

And Vacation #3: Mesa, AZ
KC didn't join un on this trip so my mom drove up to Parowan and met us right after our Brian Head trip. We made our way down to Mesa slowly but got there in time to see Dallin's soccer game. We were there to visit but also for my Nana's 80th birthday party. So we helped prepare for that. And after a few days we flew home (thank you so much mom and dad for that!!)
