Christmas 2009

I'm finally blogging about Christmas. We has such an amazing Christmas break. My family came up before we left for California so we were able to spend time with them first. We stayed with them at the cabin in Heber they were at. It was amazing! Huge rooms, and HUGE bathrooms, and fun games. They had a bumper pool table that was the most favorite. KC, Tyler, my Dad and Dallin spent the whole time playing that. Sunday morning we got up and went to the MO TAB performance. We got there 10 min before it ended so we didn't see much but we got to see the Hallelujah Chorus and that was the best part. We went to brunch after that and has Breakfast with Santa. Owen did NOT like Santa one bit. He screamed, but that was alright, the food was AMAZING. We very much enjoyed seeing my family.

We drove down to California, leaving after work. So we stayed the night in Vegas at KC's cousins home. They are so kind to let us stay there. When we arrived we tried to put Owen right in bed but he woke up and started screaming. It was strange because I'd never heard that scream before. After a min or 2 of trying different things I decided that his tummy was hurting him really bad. He had some really bad gas pains. The only way I got him to calm down was by laying him on his side and massaging him tummy. We gave him some medicine stuff and rubbed his tummy and got the gas out so he could sleep. It was the saddest thing ever. I've never heard him cry like that. Fortunately it only lasted that night.

We got to Cali and Kerri and her family arrived that night. We had Christmas eve dinner, put reindeer food out, and went to bed. Christmas morning was so much fun. Nothing too early. So we got up and by the time we started Santa gifts and presents, Owen was so ready for a nap. So he got to sleep while we opened gifts. It was kinda nice to not have to worry about him while everyone did gifts. Owen did gifts later and didn't really like it. He didn't like the noise at all. So we just did little bits at a time.

Christmas Day dinner was amazing. Janene made a delicious turkey and her mom made delicious veggis! I could have eaten all day.

We went to Disneyland one of the days out there and had SOOOO much fun. Owen was just perfect. He napped and ate and just did everything he was supposed to. He even went to sleep at the end of the day. It was really a pleasant day.

We drove over to AZ for New Years. We had an awesome time at my mom's New Years Party. I love that everyone still comes. We had so much fun and Owen slept through everything. I'm not sure how because we were seriously yelling at some points, but he did. I just LOVE him.

We made it back home and are glad to be back. We've played KC's new WII every night and relaxed a little. We love being with family but its always nice to be in your own home again.
